Class experience
Let's get up and MOVE! If you love Gabby's Dollhouse or just love moving to fun music join in! This class is for all ability levels and a great way to motivate stretching, movement and fun! (You absolutely DO NOT have to have seen the show to do this class. All songs are fun and age appropriate). - Your child will learn basic dance moves while practicing musicality and listening skills. Dance movements are excellent for improving mobility, balance and coordination! Dance helps with focus, discipline and listening skills. Learners will be able to get up and move while practicing dance skills to fun, upbeat music!
I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dance Performance with a minor in Health Education. In addition, I have been teaching and doing choreography for over 15 years. I was a background dancer in Disney's High School Musical 2. I have worked with all ages teaching ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance and have done the choreography for many musical productions and groups.
Print out coloring sheet before class begins! Bring markers, crayons or colored pencils
Please provide a safe space for your child to learn. Do not have class on a slippery floor or where things can be bumped or broken. *Wear comfortable clothes! *You may want a water bottle nearby for a quick water break. *Choreography learned will be created originally by the instructor but inspired by the movie. *Dance experience is helpful but not required for this class. *You will find the coloring for the week posted in the CLASSROOM. -Coloring printable provided. Will will NOT be coloring during class. The main focus is moving for the 20 minute time period. Learners can share their coloring at the next class. *This class has a flexible age range. Moves are basic but may be fast and require a bit of practice.
