Did you start Kindergarten this Fall? Let's hear some silly stories to help you learn to read! In this series of classes featuring Elephant & Piggie stories, students will get new words for their collection each week. Elephant & Piggie stories are really silly! Mo Willems is a beloved author and illustrator of many award-winning children's books. You might know his books about the pigeon or Knufflebunny. If you like to doodle, you're a lot like him! Each week, we'll read two Elephant & Piggie stories together and you'll build your word collection. You don't need to own these books--I'll share mine with you! Week 1: December 6th Theme: Funny situations Stories: I Am Going & I Broke My Trunk Week 2: December 13th Theme: Funny behavior Stories: I Really Like Slop & I'm a Frog Week 3: December 20th Theme: Funny travel Stories: Let's Go for a Drive & Today I Will Fly Week 4: December 27th Theme: Funny settings Stories: Watch Me Throw the Ball & We Are In a Book

You don't need to own these books--I'll share mine with you on screen!
Each week via the classroom posts, learners will receive one page of business card sized cards you can cut out and put in a stack or in a special container. These will become their word collection to show how many words they have mastered in our class reading with Elephant and Piggie!
Supply List
Paper, markers/crayons/colored pencils. You don't need to own these books--I'll share mine with you!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
