This class puts a fun spin on how to generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work while developing creative skills. Today we will use pipe cleaners to create and express ourselves creating a wearable and functional work of art.

This is a live one-time class. I will present the information through a slideshow (which I will share access to for each student). My presentation time is around 8 minutes, which allows the majority of the 45 minute class time to support students in making their art. I look forward to supporting and interacting with students through their preferred means of communication whether that’s by video, audio or chat.
Learning Goals
We address the National Visual Art Standard 2: Organize and develop artistic ideas and work.Functional art is the art vocabulary term with space as the element of art, repetition as the principal of design and text as the modern element of art.
