45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Come join our professional improvisers for a class that focuses on the fundamentals of improvisational theater, and how to showcase them while playing theater games. Students will receive direction and notes from the instructor, and students will have opportunities to discuss, play, and work with one another. This 55 minute class will include a brief intermission. Please have a space prepared where you can move and make some noise. (This section is intended for high school students or equivalent.)
Learning Goals
This class aims to build social and collaboration skills in students, and to improve their self-confidence. By using sociodramatic play in an improvised theater setting, we hope to encourage students to share their ideas, negotiate with peers, and collaborate on the direction of a scene in real time.
