In this 4 week course we will work with fractions starting with what they are through adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with them.
Class experience
US Grade 3 - 6
In week 1 we will discuss what a fraction is, reducing fractions, and mixed fractions using cards and dominoes. The kids will have the chance to see the fractions and tell me if they are bigger/smaller and what bigger fractions reduce to. In week 2 we will move on and discuss adding fractions with common and uncommon denominators. The kids will be able to ask any questions and determine answers from the board and give me their own fractions to add together. In week 3 we will subtract...
Our goal of this class is to fell comfortable and confident working with fractions.
Please have paper and pencil for writing and we will use Kahoot so I will give you the code to get into the class.
