This class will help students develop a basic understanding of fractions. We will discuss what a fraction is and look at different visual representations of fractions. We will also apply fractions to everyday situations and talk about when we might use fractions. We will discuss what numerators and denominators are and how to write them. Students will learn how to identify fractions by looking at pictures and other visuals. They will also learn how to draw a picture of a fraction when given a written fraction. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! So glad you are here! I am excited to be teaching on Outschool. I have taught elementary school for four years, with 1.5 of those years being online. I am currently teaching 6th grade science. I love teaching multiplication, division, fractions, phonics, science, and more! I love connecting with my students and helping them learn. It is very rewarding to see my students progress and grow. I believe that every child has potential, and I love helping them realize their potential.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in TESOL K-12 (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages). I also finished my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governor’s University.

I love running, waterskiing, and my dog, Daisy! I also love music and play the piano and the violin.

I can't wait to get to know you!
