Fun with Fractals! - The Sierpinski Triangle
In this 35 minute class, students will learn about and construct the Sierpinski Triangle.
Class experience
In this class, students will learn about a geometric shape called a fractal. The specific fractal we will explore is called the Sierpinski Triangle. Students will discuss properties of triangles while constructing their own Sierpinski Triangle using paper, pencil, ruler, and protractor. I use a brain-based teaching style to keep learners engaged throughout the lesson and to maximize retention of new material.
