This is a fun intro class to the cool process of needle felting also known as wool painting. This is a dry felting process using a barbed needle and wool roving to create a felted Olaf snowman. Suggested age is 10 and up due to the sharp barbed needle, dexterity and patience required. The dry felting process of needle felting is achieved by continuously poking and stabbing the pure wool roving which causes the fibers to interlock and felt. Students will form and felt his body and add his black buttons. We will then make his head and add his face. His head will then be joined to his body. We will finish off by making and attaching his arms. Everything is done using the needle (no glue).
