Beginner Level
What will be taught? Students will learn fundamental guitar skills, including picking, fretting, and playing beginner songs. They will develop rhythm control, coordination, song mastery, and performance skills. The course culminates in a group recital where students confidently showcase their progress. Topics Covered 1. Basic picking and rhythm control 2. Fretting techniques (index, middle, and ring fingers) 3. Beginner songs ("Mary Had a Little Lamb", "Old MacDonald", "Jingle Bells") 4. Note values and fretting coordination 5. Practice vs. performance skills Class Structure Each 55-minute session includes: 1. Revision (5 mins) 2. Warm-Up Activity (10 mins) 3. Learn new concepts/techniques (15 mins) 4. Guided Practice (20 mins) 5. Wrap-Up & Q&A (5 mins) Teaching style?
