Geneviève Baldassarre Since 2019, Mme. Geneviève has been teaching a variety of online and in-person classes. Her private sessions are conducted in studios, homes, or online platforms, while group classes are held in studios, parks, beaches, and online environments. With expertise in Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, meditation, and restorative yoga, she emphasizes yoga for mental health. Geneviève prioritizes correct alignment, gentle movements, and balanced strength-building in all sessions, fostering a nurturing environment that supports students in both beginner and advanced settings. Mme. Geneviève is a native French speaker who has studied French throughout her entire life. She attended French school from the age of four until completing CEGEP. With over a decade of teaching experience, she is a passionate language teacher dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments. Mme. Geneviève holds a degree from Concordia University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. She has taught students of all ages and abilities worldwide, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and Tourette’s. Integrating movement and mindfulness into her French teaching, she fosters natural language acquisition through small steps and personalized attention in both small groups and classes of up to 30 students. Outside of teaching, she enjoys surfing, hiking, and practicing yoga daily.
Not mandatory: Yoga mat or cushion.
Please ensure there is an open workout space free of any potential tripping hazards. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and have a water bottle handy. Having foam or cork blocks for support is beneficial for injury prevention. Students will always be guided on what sensations to expect during stretches and movements, so additional precautions are usually unnecessary. While we won't practice inversions, ensuring a clear, hazard-free environment, including no sharp corners nearby, is advisable for general safety. Adult supervision is recommended, especially for beginner participants.
