In this 40-minute class, young artists will discover how to cut and assemble a paper fish collage using colored paper. Learners will need several sheets of different colored paper (about five) and glue (bottle or stick) for this lesson. This small group class size ensures individual attention and won't cancel even with minimal enrollment. We'll start with a teacher-led demonstration on various paper cutting techniques and the easiest way to apply glue to the collage shapes. Exploring composition, we'll begin placing the cut pieces on the base paper, allowing learners to add their unique designs and ideas to their fish collage. During the lesson, I'll provide assistance to any learner who needs help, fostering creativity in their collage creation. Throughout the class, learners can ask questions and later share their fish collages with their peers in our encouraging, relaxed atmosphere. We'll cover art vocabulary focusing on different types of lines, shapes, collage techniques, composition principles, and spatial concepts like overlapping."
