Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to understand and identify fractions.
Students will be able to understand fractions as a number on the number line.
Students will be able to explain equivalent fractions and compare fractions with the same numerator or denominator.
Students will express whole numbers as fractions and recognize fractions that are equivalent to whole numbers.
Students will be encouraged to complete a short homework assignment of no more than 10 self correcting task cards each week to help them retain the skills they learned in class. This should be completed in 20 minutes or less.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will take a pre and post assessment. Post assessment grades and reports will be shared with families at the end of the course with suggested next steps. 
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
