Fun and Funky, Cute and Cozy, grab your your art supplies and let's make an art journal. In this class, beginner artists and experienced artists both will collaborate to express themselves, create, and learn to keep going and moving through the process when unsure moments arrive. I will provide prompts, inspiration, tips and tricks, suggestions, a never ending supply of encouragement, and a supportive space. This is a class where more is more. Learners will develop and uncover their personal style by continually adding to a page and seeing what emerges at the end. They will discover what mediums, themes, styles and techniques they enjoy most. This class is multi-media supportive, meaning you can and should bring any supplies you like! Stickers, markers, paint pens, pens, pencils, colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, scissors, glue, etc.- they are all welcome. As always, more is more! The more you bring, the more you can mix and match and discover. Above all- bring what you want. There is no wrong, only art! During the class meeting we will start with a warm-up exercise, which is fun, easy, and small! We will then move on to designing a themed journal page! Examples of these pages may include any of the following: - a collage page all about you and your favorite things - a character creation page where you will design your own original character and fill in the page all about them. - a recipe page for your favorite recipes - a monthly goals, achievements, and activities page where you will chronicle your daily life with small pictures, words, lists, stickers, drawings, and more. (a favorite of mine) - holiday themed pages - much more! Learners will have the opportunity to share during or at the end of the session, and are welcome to work on a different theme or topic if they wish, or just chat. My name is Ms. Christi and I look forward to meeting you and creating something cool together!
