Students will have guided animal drawing practice. I will have animals that are ways to draw a basic shape and outline for such as a turtle, horse, penguin, lion, and frog. Students will also have the ability to request an animal of their choosing. The class will begin with free drawing and students will be given the opportunity to share their creation. Learners will be provided with step by step instructions and a visual for the animal drawings during the class. The focus of the class is to give learners a group of animals that they are confident in drawing, but also begin to develop skills to draw animals through personal thought and photographs. Learners will have the opportunity to interact with each other. I often ask the students to share their drawings during different phases of their art. At the end of class students will have time to either continue drawing their animals or color in their animals with shading or color.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hey!
My name is Anna Grace Hubbs. I am currently a graduate student for clinical counseling at Gordon Conwell. I absolutely love art, and I adore how art can heal and center us. I will be teaching creative arts with a therapeutic twist. While I am NOT a licensed counselor, and I will NOT be providing counseling to any student, I am able to utilize some of the therapeutic art techniques that are regularly found in practice. I will be teaching classes that focus on utilizing the creativeness of each student while building and supporting their emotional needs. My approach to teaching and therapeutic art is to have fun and relax. I also believe in the value of learning from mistakes. While some of my classes may challenge each learner differently, I personally believe that students can only learn from growing through their mistakes. I have taught creative arts in many capacities from a summer camp to a private school. Currently, I teach creative art in my clinical internship with my graduate school. I am so excited to meet you and your family. I know that we can make beautiful art together, while learning to love ourselves more.
