US Grade 1
Hello and welcome to my first-grade math class. In this class, your student will learn first-grade math concepts. The topics will be American-based math topics. The class will be part interactive lecture/ part games. I will use the whiteboard in the zoom room, along with materials to supplement each topic covered. I am very patient and encouraging. The class will be student-centered, so it will be easier to adapt to meet each student's needs. Learners will watch and listen to problem demonstrations, try on their own, play games, and receive support from fellow learners. In my class, students encourage each other. Here is a sample of the topics that we will work on. Week of June 19: Counting and understanding addition Week of June 26: Addition up to ten Week of July 3rd: Addition and subtraction review Week of July 10th: Subtraction up to ten

I have also taught with companies like Tutor.com, VIPKID, Qkids, Magic Ears, EF, Itutorgroup, wyzant, Kidpass, Testingmom and more, over the years. I want to create an educational and pressure-free environment, where students ALL OVER THE WORLD can enjoy learning!!! I teach all year long and even during most holidays.
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master's of Social Work. I also have TESOL and TEFL: TEYL certifications. I am currently working towards my teaching license/ certification too. I am very patient and can guide students in their educational journey, every step of the way. I love to teach because I love to empower students and encourage them to take control of their futures. Beyond math and reading, I also enjoy teaching story improv, show and tell, how to start an online reselling business, personalized homework help, storytime, ESL, full curriculum, homeschool, private tutoring and more.
