US Grade 2
This class lasts approximately 8 weeks, and we will meet 2x per week. Reruns every 8 weeks. Throughout the 8 weeks, students will be immersed into the core standards for 2nd grade mathematics. We will be using interactive slideshows, creative games, group work, and hands on activities via printable handouts. I am a huge believer that students learn best when they are kept engaged and included in the lesson! All students will have the opportunity to practice their creativity throughout this math class, as there are so many different ways to approach math. I welcome students to use the strategies that work the best for them, while giving them concrete examples of various strategies and methods that they can explore. | Our 8 weeks will go as follows | Week 1 - Unit 1: Operations and algebraic thinking Day one: Addition and subtraction word problems, two digit numbers.
