Fruits and Vegetables in French

In this flexible schedule class, students will watch the ten minute video and do the four worksheets at their own pace. This class is meant for young French beginner learners. Learners are encouraged to watch the video and print the pages. After the pages are completed, I recommend sending pictures to me for feedback using the Outschool conversations or Classroom. Students can also choose to share their work with their classmates in the Classroom. This class is mostly in English so that students understand. I say the word in English, then in French. I will cover French words for apple, strawberry, green beans, oranges, lettuce and more . I also talk about the French words for numbers 1 to 4 and certain colors. As this class is taught using a video, I take the time to repeat each word many times and give pauses so that the students can repeat the words. I encourage parents to pause the video if their child is struggling in order to repeat or to offer support. Four coloring/worksheets are provided. These worksheets are meant to support the learner and revisit the vocabulary that was taught in the video. All materials including video and printable sheets will be posted in the Classroom on the first day of class. A four week class schedule is suggested. Every week I will post a reminder to send in the assignments and will ask students a question like what was their favorite animal in the video or to share their favorite color with the group. There is no previous experience required to take this class.

Week 1: Listen to video and do page 1 coloring page to review fruits and vegetables in French, show work, 
Week 2: Do page 2, word to image association, show work, answer general questions from teacher in Classroom
Week 3: Do pages 3 and 4 to review numbers in French, show work, answer questions concerning favorite foods in video
Week 4: Do page 4, read instructions with parents and color by following instructions, show work, answer questions concerning favorite activity from class
