Frozen Story Song & Dance Camp!

Over 4 days, we will read Frozen 1 & 2, learn some simple dance terms, do a fun dance routine, and also a daily craft!

Class Experience

During our four days together, we will make our way through the books based on the hit movies "Frozen" & "Frozen 2." Each day we will read part of our story and learn a dance routine to the song that is in that portion of the story/movie. We will also be sure to have time for a craft. 

The crafts are as age-specific as possible though they require some parent involvement. Our class is broken into 15 minutes of story, 15 minutes of Song/Dance and then 15 minutes of craft (sometimes the last two activities are flipped) so your assistance may only be needed for 15 minutes approximately. I appreciate your involvement and I know your child is grateful! 💙

Day one - We will read the first half of Frozen 1, learn a routine to "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and "For the First Time in Forever", and make our Pipe Cleaner Crowns. 
Day two - We will read the second half of Frozen 1, learn a routine to "Let it Go!" and "In Summer!", and make Anna, Elsa, and Olaf Puppets. 
Day Three - We will read the first half of Frozen 2, learn a routine to "Some Things Never Change" and "Into the Unknown", and make our Elsa Wands. 
Day Four - We will finish reading Frozen 2, learn a routine to "When I'm Older" and "Show Yourself," and play Frozen BINGO and do a Frozen Scavenger Hunt! 

Some printing will be required and a short craft supply list will be asked of students to purchase.

Learning Goals

The pages to our books will be scanned in so that they can follow along easily. While learning our dance routines, we will learn some simple dance terms and practice counting the amount of times we do certain moves, and, of course, gross motor skills are utilized while dancing. Our crafts will work on fine motor skills, cutting, coloring, and some gluing/taping. Parent involvement is encouraged and appreciated!

Parental Guidance

With any sort of physical activity, it is important for students to make the instructor aware of any injuries in order to keep the student safe. If the student has any physical restrictions, please inform the instructor prior to class. An environment with space to dance is required. Keep a water bottle nearby for breaks and wear comfortable clothes... Princess Dresses welcome!

Our craft supply list will be sent to students 1-2 weeks prior to class.

I teach Movement classes in studio and online as well! I have been teaching dance for 15+ years to all ages (18months - adult) as well as Fitness classes to kids and adults. Dance has been a major part of my life for 32 years and I love bringing that passion to others. I've worked with young and old, special needs, low-impact or injured, wheel-chair bound, and all others! 

I believe that Dance/Movement is a rare "sport" that is all-inclusive; gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness, emotionally stimulating, builds self-confidence, improves discipline & listening skills, and much more. 

 My family consists of my super supportive husband, my oldest daughter (8) youngest daughter (6), and then the littlest one is 3years old, but he was born 3-1/2 months early. We spent a significant amount of time in the NICU in the city we live in and are forever grateful for modern medicine! Our life has been a rollercoaster and, as crazy as this sounds, I wouldn't have it any other way... mostly. haha! 

Being a mama myself, I  try to be flexible with my schedule and appreciate the understanding from parents as I navigate our medically complex son's needs as well as two active girls!
