Welcome to Book Club! 👋 📘Over the next 6 weeks, students will be reading, discussing, & interacting with the novel "Frindle" by Andrew Clements. Students will need to have their own copy of the book (hard copy, digital, or audio). - Students will develop (or expand) a love for reading as they build reading comprehension skills & strategies, participate in discussions, & complete engaging book projects.
I am a licensed teacher for grades K-8 in the state of Arkansas, and hold my M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) from UCA (University of Central Arkansas). I have 7 years of classroom experience teaching 5th grade.
Homework Offered
Students will be required to follow the provided Reading & Vocabulary Guide each week by reading the assigned chapters, completing the accompanying activities, and responding to discussion in the online classroom. Students will have an optional book project choice board each week.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will complete weekly comprehension activities and a comprehension quiz at the end of the book to assess learning.Grades Offered
2 files available upon enrollment✅Students will need to have their own copy of the book (hard copy, digital, or audio). There is a link to purchase the book on Amazon in the welcome packet that you will receive upon enrolling in the book club. ✅All discussion materials (both print & digital formats) will be provided by the teacher. I recommend keeping a reading folder or binder to house all vocabulary & comprehension activities, but this is certainly not a requirement.
