Friday Fun Day: Preschool Circle Time

Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. I am so glad you are here. I am Rebecca, but my students call me Miss Rebecca. I am a South Carolina native with a big heart for students. I enjoy teaching math tutoring weekly here on Outschool. As a teacher that works with the special needs community, I do offer classes geared for students with special needs (or as I see it, special abilities). As a preschool teacher, I offer a morning circle time too. I started my professional teaching career six years ago in a self-contained Special Education classroom. I have taught students with multi-categorical special needs. I then moved onto being a preschool teacher. I have been a preschool teacher for four years. I have also been a special needs program director for 2 years. As a teacher, I try to make learning fun and knowledge attainable for all learners. I will accommodate and modify lessons as I see fit for the student. I have a tendency and have been told by multiple parents that I can turn a student's day from frustrating to positive. I am known to laugh at my own mistakes and teach students that adults make mistakes too. Overall, I believe I am a happy and positive teacher. 

On a personal note, I love photography and spending time with family and friends. I love to spend my weekends with the ones I love the most. If I'm not spending time with them, I am outside tending to my flowers or sitting in my hammock chair reading a book or brainstorming new ideas.
