In this 8 week course, beginner/intermediate French learners will learn about the conjugation & usage of 8 verbs. Learners will practice forms & use the verbs in context and will be given continued resources and practice activities.

1 hour per week. Students will be given optional extra practice activities to continue to work on the conjugations on their own. They will also be asked to respond to a prompt in the classroom each week with a written response.Class Experience
This 8 week class for beginner and intermediate French learners will be taught primarily in English with examples and practice in French. Students should have a basic understanding of beginner French vocabulary in order to understand the examples and use the verbs in context. At least 1 year of French study is required. Please check with the instructor if you are unsure of your learner's proficiency level. Each week, students will be introduced to a new verb or group of verbs. Students will be given a chart to complete on their own and keep as a final list of all of the verbs (using it as a reference guide for their future learning). We will watch short video clips (1-2 minutes), write the conjugations and practice using interactive games and sentences. The instructor will ask for volunteers to read sentences and practice the correct pronunciation of the verb forms. Students will gain understanding of how these are used as idioms and use personal examples from their lives (for example- J'ai 10 ans - I HAVE ten years or mon papa il FAIT du ski). The 8 weeks will be the following: Week 1: The verb être Week 2: The verb avoir Week 3: "-er" verbs Week 4: The verb aller Week 5: "-re" verbs Week 6: The verbs vouloir and pouvoir Week 7: "ir" verbs Week 8: The verb faire
