Formative.Class Experience
Students will develop their communication skills in French. Students do not need to take the first course(French Beginner1) as this is a course for beginners, this is the second part of "French Beginner 1" and students who took that course will expand their basic knowledge in French. Students will learn important basic vocabulary to communicate in the target language. PowerPoint presentation, videos, songs, props, games (bingo, crafts, mimes) and creative activities will be used in this class. Students will have assignments to study what they learn in class. Students will broaden their vocabulary and develop their ability to understand new words. Students will have the opportunity to explore the language through games, songs and rhymes and link the spelling, sound and meaning of words. Students will identify key feature and pattern of basic grammar. Students will learn vocabulary and will introduce their family, name some common pets, name common rooms in their home. Students will use masculine and feminine articles and possessive pronouns. Students will also make sentences about themselves using "je", link sound and meanings. Students will use the subject pronoun "tu" to ask questions about someone. Students will name objects that can be found around a classroom. Students will also use the phrase "Il/elle est là, ils/elles sont là” to a response of the questions "Où est...? Où sont...?" (Where is..? Where are...?). Students will be able to use simple sentences in French connected to certain themes studied in class and will write sentences using prepositions. Students will be able to answer questions orally, using a modelled sentence. Students will be able to write answers in French, use the third person plural of a verb in sentences, and express ideas by building sentences about seasons and months. Students will follow a pattern of using grammar in the context of requesting something to eat. Students will also learn new verbs and say what they like to do using infinitive verbs. Students will develop their speaking, listening, reading skills in class and will work on speaking, reading (vocabulary) and writing skills at home. Students can send the homework to the teacher to check their work. Lesson 1: Family Tree. Vocabulary and will introduce their family.(Bring a picture of your family). Record your voice or a video where you introduce your family showing pictures or drawings. Lesson 2: Pets. Vocabulary. Short answers to the question "Do you have pets?" Lesson 3: What's her/his name?, possessive pronouns. Craft Lesson 4: Home. Vocabulary about rooms in a house. Use of masculine and feminine articles. Record your voice or a video where you name parts of your house showing pictures or drawings. Lesson 5: Food vocabulary. May I have..? Follow a pattern of using grammar in the context of requesting something to eat. Lesson 6: Classroom vocabulary, Use of il/elle/ils/elles. Ask and answer question identifying objects. Review (Units 1-5) Lesson 7: Pencil case. Vocabulary. Indefinite articles (un,une). Lesson 8: School. Subjects at school. Express likes and dislikes about subjects at school. Answer Qui aime.../Qui n'aime pas...?" Record your voice or a video where you say what subjects you like and dislike at school and name what it is in your pencil case. Lesson 9: Around The School. Vocabulary. Ask and answer ". Où est tu?" Lesson 10: What do you like to do? Infinitive form of verbs(+ prepositions). Lesson 11: Seasons. Vocabulary. Third person plural of "être". Lesson 12: Review.

¡Hola a todos! Bonjour tout le monde! Hello everyone!
I am multilingual, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. I speak Spanish, French, and English. I have also attended the following workshops/trainings in Canada: Science of Early Childhood Development-Play, Science of Early Childhood Development-Language and Literacy, Science of Early Childhood Development-Introductory Level, Transition Planning Intermediate Level, and Adult Education-Intermediate level. I have been teaching French and Spanish languages for over eight years. My students range from toddlers to adults. I have lived and worked in France and Mexico. Currently, I live in Canada.
I offer the following skills: Ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds, interactive lesson plans, good interpersonal skills and a passion for languages. I am an active listener and team player. I like to do crafting and science experiments with my family. I also enjoy learning to cook different kind of dishes, lately I have made Asian dishes such as brown rice and eggplant. I like travelling and I have learnt the culture of the languages that I teach where the languages that I speak are the mother tongues.
