In this one-day crash course on fractions, students will learn the fundamentals of fractions, including understanding what fractions are, how to add fractions, and how to subtract fractions. The course covers essential topics such as identifying fractions, understanding numerators and denominators, simplifying fractions, and performing addition and subtraction with like and unlike denominators. The class is structured to include a mix of notes, hands-on activities, and discussions to ensure a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. We will start with a brief introduction to fractions, followed by step-by-step explanations and examples. Throughout the class, students will participate in fun, hands-on activities designed to reinforce the concepts being taught. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, focusing on making learning enjoyable and accessible for all students. I will use slides and manipulatives to illustrate key points and provide visual aids to enhance understanding. Students will have ample opportunities to interact with me through questions, discussions, and collaborative activities.
