35 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In the beginning of class I will see what the students already know about this topic. I will use a worksheet that I show on my screen during class. We will do some examples of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and decimals. If the students get the hang of this they will do some problems on their own. I also plan to show them how to turn decimals and fractions into percents.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their skills on fractions and decimals, with a brief understanding of how to get a percent from a fraction or decimal. They will learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimals as well as convert these into percentages.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I will be teaching math and science classes. Currently I am a senior at Michigan State University and will be graduating May 2020. My major is Human Biology and therefore I have taken a variety of both math and science classes while attending college. I think it is important to have open discussions throughout class so that all students are able to feel comfortable and ask questions on anything they may not understand. It is also important that students are able to interact and help each other. I am the youngest in my family of three and all three of us attended Michigan State University.
