Students will practice working with fractions using hands-on and critical-thinking methods. This is a high-involvement class, so students should come to class with cameras and microphones on. This course's purpose is for students to strengthen their understanding of fractions and find patterns within fractions to make working with them more accessible. Week 1Lesson 1Add/Subtract FractionsStudents will explore the reason why we find equivalent fractions when adding and subtracting with unlike denominators.Lesson 2Multiply/Divide FractionsStudents will explore the relationship between multiplication and division of fractions and develop an understanding of finding the part of a part.
