Lesson 1:
Introduction
 Welcome! In this lesson you will be introduced to the concept of place value and various tools and strategies we will be using throughout our lessons. 
Lesson 2:
Place Value Identification
 In this lesson, we will practice identifying the place value of two digit numbers. We will have a Nearpod lesson with interactive games and videos. We will also have printables for the student to complete at home. 
Lesson 3:
Making Numbers
 In this lesson, we will practice making numbers when given the place value. For example, what number is 2 tens and 7 ones. We will have a Nearpod lesson with interactive games and additional printables to complete at home. 
Lesson 4:
Extension
 In this lesson, we will learn how to use place value to help us solve 2 digit addition and subtraction equations without regrouping. We will have printables to complete at home as well as a teacher video. 

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Nearpod will be used for gamified learning and lessons. Youtube Kids will be used to share songs or short videos applicable to content.

Hi everyone! Welcome to class! I am Miss Kate. I have 15+ years of teaching experience with students ages 2-14 years old. I am passionate about early childhood education and building the foundation for life long learning. My classes will be engaging and focus on a variety of topics including early literacy, early math and life skills. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and 3 (yes, three) big dogs!

I believe in engaging and playful learning and will teach my classes in a fun and interactive way including songs, digital & interactive games, and lots of interaction and opportunities for engagement. 

I am certified to teach K-8 Elementary, K-12 Special Education and Early Childhood Education. In addition, I have a certificate in Child Psychology from Penn Foster, a certificate in Autism Studies from Arizona State University and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Arizona State University.
