Fossil Fun: Become a Paleontologist! Learn With Real Fossils!

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In this one-time class, students will train to become paleontologists! Students will look at real-life fossils to learn how they are formed. We will also talk about the tools paleontologists use to uncover fossils, and then use them to find a Trilobite fossil! Then, learners will discover the main parts of the Trilobite fossil through a custom coloring-page. They will also learn how to draw a very cool dinosaur. Afterward, they will use their new knowledge to identify what kind of creature...
Students will be able to describe: what fossils are, the conditions needed to make fossils, and how long it takes to make fossils. They will be able to identify simple fossils. My ultimate goal is to help students learn through their creativity.
