Description
Class Experience
Students will get the chance to not only share in their passion of Fortnite with others, but they will also learn public speaking, and active listening skills. Taking turns, and waiting patiently are skills that many gamers can benefit from learning. Friendships formed in this class will be an added bonus. Soft spoken students will learn to use their voice. Out spoken students will learn to take turns. Everyone will get to practice actively listening to others. Also, the students may gain computer skills, team work, social skills, and public speaking.
The learner should have the Fortnite game. Fortnite books are also helpful but not required. Having the devices used for class near the wi-fi router, or having them wired in can help to create a smother game playing experience.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Fortnite by Epic games is rated for 13+. It is the parent's responsibility to determine if this game is right for your family.
