Fondant Cake Decorating Start to Finish (Flex Class)
Class experience
In this 4 week flex class we will be making a fondant covered cake start to finish. Students do not need prior knowledge to do this course but they must be able to kneed the fondant and use a rolling pin. Class videos will be posted each Monday you will have the week to complete the project. Week 1: We will bake a cake. We will be baking two small 6 inch round cakes. We will then give them time to cool and learn how to level them so they will be ready for frosting and stacking. After this...
You will learn how to bake and level a cake. Make buttercream frosting, stack a cake, and frost it. Make wonderful decorations for your cake. Cover your cake in fondant. Last, decorate your cake into what theme of cake you would like.
My mother was a cake decorating teacher and she taught me how to make and decorate cakes. I then started to help her make wedding cakes and birthday cakes. Then I started to make them on my own. I have made several birthdays and special occasion cakes as well as wedding cakes.
