Flute 101.5 is an enrichment book focusing on learning new skills like high note practice, harmonics, octaves and many etudes and solos. Students should have completed Flute 101 or have played flute for approximately one year. Week 1 - Lesson 1A - Warm-ups; Lesson 1B - F Major exercises Week 2 - Lesson 1C - Warm-ups/ etude and solo; Lesson 2A - Exercises like octaves, tetrachords, Mary Had a Little Lamb with variations Week 3 - Lesson 2b - Pattern practice; Vocalise, trills; Lesson 2C - Upper neighbor, Harmonics; etudes, Take Me Out to the Ball Game Week 4 - Review - p. 17 - intervals, etude; Repeat pieces and exercises up to this point Week 5 - Lesson 3A - Octaves, tetrachords, Hot Cross Buns; Lesson 3B - Pattern practice Vocalise, trill, etude in B-flat major Week 6 - Lesson 3C - Mordent practice; mordent etude, work on triplets Review - p. 21 Etudes and solos Week 7 - Lesson 4A - Ringing D; octaves, tetrachords, Oat and Beans; Lesson 4B - note review, pattern practice in D; vocalise, etude in D Students will learn new exercises that cover various keys and will also have a review every few pages.

Students will review Flute 101 concepts and expand their knowledge of keys, vibrato, scales and pattern practice.
