55 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1-2 hours per week. There is no mandatory homework but students are encouraged to keep practicing their splits a few times a week. Flexibility most improves if students keep working at it, consistency is key!Class Experience
This ongoing class meets once a week to work on side splits. With over 10 years of gymnastics and acrobatic coaching, I've incorporated multiple active stretching and exercises specifically designed to improve students' flexibility in their side splits. This class is ideal for students who are interested in gymnastics, acrobatic, dance, cheerleading, or aerial arts. This class can be adapted for beginners or more advanced students. Each week's class is structured the same as they're building towards the same skillset. A variety of exercises will be taught all based on improving side split flexibility. Each class will begin with a short warm-up and will dive into stretching and flexibility techniques and exercises to increase flexibility and help students achieve their side splits. Classes will conclude with a short cool down. Please note that I limit the size of the class so that I can provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their fitness and flexibility by working towards achieving their personal goals and improving their side splits flexibility.

Students will be doing physical activities during this class please make sure that students have a water bottle in class to stay hydrated. Students must have a safe, comfortable, non-slippery space. Please make sure to clear the space of anything to prevent students from tripping over items or breaking anything. Please make sure students are not wearing socks if they are on a slippery floor and are in comfortable clothes for the stretching activities. Students do not need to wear sneakers.
Please be aware of your child's abilities and supervise as necessary to avoid potential injuries. Most activities in this class involve minimal risk but as with any physical activities, there is the potential to overexert themselves if not properly supervised.

Students should bring a water bottle to class to stay hydrated. Ideally, students have a [yoga or any other non-slippery] mat to reduce any pressure on their knees.
