This camp works towards achieving better flexibility. With over 10 years of gymnastics and acrobatic coaching, I've incorporated multiple stretching and fitness exercises specifically designed to improve students' overall fitness and ability to work towards their flexibility goals. This class is ideal for students who are interested in gymnastics, acrobatics, dance, cheerleading, yoga, or aerial arts. This class is for those who have some or no experience stretching. Each class is structured and will begin with a short warm-up to prevent injury and will be followed by a series of strength and flexibility exercises. Classes will conclude with a short cool down. As the instructor, I will teach the class as the students follow along. I will help to correct form and encourage the students to try new movements as students work together as a group to follow along. The week's schedule will follow the format below. Monday: Introductions, General Stretching, Safety, & Breathing Class Tuesday: Lower Body Stretch Class Wednesday: Upper Body Stretch Class Thursday: Splits & Whole Body Stretch Class
Learning Goals
Students will improve their fitness and flexibility by working towards achieving their personal goals and improving their knowledge of different stretches.
