Class Experience

Welcome! In this course, we embark on a creative journey into the enchanting world of sculpting, focusing specifically on bringing to life the beauty and wonder of the Winnie the Pooh Characters using the versatile medium of polymer clay.

**Course Overview:**
Throughout this course, you will learn the fundamental techniques and principles of sculpting with polymer clay, with a special emphasis on crafting lifelike representations of various Winnie the Pooh Characters. Each lesson will guide you through the step-by-step process of sculpting and refining your own unique woodland masterpiece.

There are no live meetings in this class. Content will be sent out through video format, allowing students to pause and work at their own pace. There are no grades or assignments in this class.

Students are encouraged, but not required to submit a photo of their sculptures - because I love seeing what you've made! If learners ever need feedback or advice, they can send in a photo of their current sculpture, and I will assist them through chat, or through a video response.

**Course Objectives:**
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the properties and behavior of polymer clay as a sculpting medium.

**Course Requirements:**
No prior experience in sculpting or working with polymer clay is required to enroll in this course. However, a passion for creativity and a love for nature are highly recommended!

 In this lesson, we will learn how to sculpt Winnie
I'll guide you through each step, sharing the best tools to use and my favorite techniques for this project.

≈ 10 mins: shaping each piece of clay into the specific shapes that we will need for this project

Lesson 2:
Sculpting: Piglet
 In this lesson, we will learn how to sculpt a Piglet
I'll guide you through each step, sharing the best tools to use and my favorite techniques for this project.

🎓✨ Recently graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in December 2022! ✨🎓

I am currently a certified 120 hour TESOL teacher, I’ve taught over 2,200 classes to more than 800 students, in both online and in-person settings spanning nearly 4 years.

❤️ I married my husband in 2022, we just had a baby boy in November 2023, and I have a 6 year old bonus daughter!
❤️  Originally from Houston, Texas, now residing in Indiana, USA.

🎨 Completed two art portfolios in one year, totaling 48 pieces – a notable achievement in Texas.
🎨 Participated and triumphed in various local and state art competitions, including hosting an art show with an auction.
🎨 I own a small art business where I am selling in a few physical stores, + an online shop!

- Classes should last the amount of time stated. However, depending on the amount of students, in a rare situation class may last slightly longer or shorter.
- I will wait 10 minutes in a class for a student to show up, if the student is still not there after 10 minutes, I will leave the classroom.
- Sibling students may log into class on the same device! (I just ask that you please enroll both siblings as a student in the classroom)
