Homework
1 hour per week. After watching each pre-recorded video and completing the homework assignments, students will receive feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Homework assignments will include individual and group projects that should take about 30 mins per week.
Assessment
Learner progress will be assessed through homework assignments, class projects, and teacher feedback.

In this 2 part 8-week class, students will learn essential life skills necessary for adulthood. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics:

Week 9: Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Discover the basics of starting a business, fostering creativity, and embracing innovative ideas.

Week 10: Public Speaking and Presentation Skills
Develop confidence and techniques for delivering engaging and effective presentations and speeches.

Week 11: Career Readiness
Develop skills for job searching, resume writing, and successful interviewing.

Week 12: Community Engagement
Learn the value of civic engagement, volunteering, and being an active member of your community.

Week 13: Creativity and Innovation
Explore various techniques to foster creativity and develop innovative solutions in everyday life.

Week 14: Resilience and Adaptability
Learn how to bounce back from setbacks and adapt to changing circumstances.

Week 15: Networking and Relationship Building
Understand the importance of building a professional network and maintaining meaningful relationships for personal and career growth.

Week 16: Home Management
Learn essential home management skills such as basic cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance.

By the end of the class, students will have a solid foundation of essential life skills to help them navigate the challenges of adulthood with confidence and resilience. The flexible schedule allows learners to watch pre-recorded videos and complete homework at a time that is convenient for them, with weekly guidance and feedback from the instructor. The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started).

The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. 

After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. 
Time frame for the Week:
Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions.
Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week.  The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion.
Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves.
Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students.
Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week.

This course requires no prior experience.
