What's included

If this is your style, your job after is to put all ingredients away, clean all items used for your recipe and clean all surfaces. Don't forget to put towels, aprons, etc. away also. Leave your work area cleaner than you found it! When you cook it's always more enjoyable to share what you've so eagerly created so please share your creations with family and friends. Beginner - Advanced Level
Because this is a FLEX class we do not meet in a live classroom. You are therefore free to fit your class into your schedule when the time is best for you! There's lots of FLEXibility! So-enjoy the baking and we'll meet real soon!

I LOVE baking bread! There's nothing like a loaf fresh out of the oven. The hardest thing is waiting til it's cool enough to slice.

In this class we will make four different bread recipes through teacher video demonstrations weekly and discussions with pointers and tips for the recipes; all shared in the classroom platform. whether you have questions, are ready to share your creations either as you're creating or your masterpiece is done, I'm excited to see all your shares. S please feel free to share. I'm here for you!

You will learn how to make bread, rolls a few different ways, two different biscuits and cinnamon rolls. I saved the best for last!

You can create recipes along with me as I walk you through the steps of the recipe, pausing the video when needed or you may choose to watch the video all the way through a first time then create as you watch a second time. Whatever works best for your schedule and your learning style. Make the class work for you!

Students will become more comfortable in the kitchen, learn new recipes to create again and again, become more acquainted and comfortable with reading and following recipes, measuring ingredients and asking for help if needed.
The recipes in this class are measured in US measurements.

Class Outline:

Class 1. We will make soft, delicious bread and we'll discuss kitchen safety, using good ingredients, the math and measurements that are a part of all cooking and of course what skills help your bread turn out amazing.

Class 2. Rolls! Sandwich rolls, dinner rolls, different shapes of rolls. Try taking a small amount of bread dough, flattening it and stretching it and frying it in some hot oil to make a scone or "elephant ear"! Add honey butter, cinnamon sugar, or butter and jam or use it for a taco shell!! The best!

Class 3. Two different recipes for Biscuits. What will you put on them? The hardest thing is waiting til they are cool enough to eat!

Class 4. Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese icing. You will also have a recipe for an orange glaze if you do not like cream cheese.
(I saved the best for last)

At the end of each class, students will:
- be more acquainted and comfortable with reading and following a recipe
- be more confident working through the written steps of a recipe (learning to ask for help if needed)
- be more familiar with kitchen safety and kitchen equipment
- learn to be responsible for cleaning their space when finished cooking
- have confidence and pride in sharing what they've created!

Bread is such a traditional part of history and also created very differently around the world!

Learning Goals
