Calling all animal lovers who are ready to learn some amazing animal facts. In this FLEX class your learner will learn about two or more animals each lesson while watching pre-recorded class videos. Along with the animals, I will also be introducing letters and sounds, letter formation, reading skills, and math skills. This class is best for learners who know some or many letters and sounds and are ready to do some reading. Each week we will learn about 3 letters (including letter formation) and 2-3 sight words a week. We will also be reading simple sentences each week. We will begin with echo reading.

Practice sheets to reinforce skills learned in class
Practice Pages or art to submit pictures of through the Outschool classroom

We will have 2 lessons per week (two videos (or more) that will each be about 10-20 minutes.) In each class we will review about three letters and their sound(s.)  Each video will include lots of facts and pictures about at least one animal. One video a week will focus on letter formation. The other video will include math skills and encouraging learners to share through show and tell. There will be a practice sheet or coloring animal sheet for your learner to complete outside of class. This class is a FLEX class and there are NO live classes.

Weekly Schedule:
Day 1: (a combination of any of the following)
-letter names, sounds, and formation (three letters a week.) I will review the most common sound(s) that each letter makes including the two sounds for Cc and Gg and the two most common sounds for the vowels.
-VC or CVC words ( ex: on, at, sip, run)
-Sight words (through phonics and heart words)
-Lots of facts about at least one animal. (We will learn in detail about an animal including attributes, habitats, where we find them on a word map, what they eat, predators, interesting facts, and more.)

Day 2: (a combination of any of the following)
-  Math skill (number identification, number formation, simple addition or subtraction, comparing animals/objects using words like taller, shorter, longest, shortest and more)
- Letter review of the letters we learned Tuesday
- Show in tell 
- Learning about a new animal (or two) 
- Reading simple sentences
- Direct drawing

An optional practice page or coloring page will be sent each week for parents who would like to extend learning outside our class time.

This class is a flex class so there is NO live meetings.
