I am so excited to teach and create art with learners here on Outschool! Welcome to the Series of Classes -Unlocking Creativity- Under the right conditions, all children can become more creative thinkers, expressive artist and problem solvers. Drawing is one of the ways to unlock their creativity. This course is for beginners and no prior drawing experience is required. In this class we embrace creativity, kindness and diversity. We expect respect and maturity in our fun and process based class environment. On this Flex Course students will learn quickly and easily to draw character bodies, clothing and accessorizes in very cute Chibi and Gacha style. Students will not just get a drawing assignment but they will be also challenged to think creatively. After the course learners will feel empowered to draw and create their own chibi characters! Let’s draw chibi girl, boy and imaginative characters in various fashion outfits and positions! Students will learn to: - design their own character; - learn how to draw easily anime gacha and chibi style bodies in proportion in different poses step by step; - draw and design their character costume.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to:
- how to draw chibi head, eyes, hair and various other details;
-basic elements of shading that can be applied on drawing other things in future;
-will get familiar with different art supplies and expand their knowledge in how to use them.
- design their own character;
- learn how to draw easily anime gacha and chibi style bodies in proportion in different poses step by step;
- draw and design their character costume.

over 6 WeeksLesson 1:
Chibi no1- Front View- Intro and Supplies
Intro and Supplies: Let's draw Chibi girl in standing position from front view! Time to begin and collect our art supplies!
Lesson 2:
Chibi no1- Front View- Warming Up
Warming Up: Let's start off by practicing drawing chibi with basic shapes.
Lesson 3:
Chibi no1- Front View- Grid
Grid: Let's draw a grid and prepare our paper.
Lesson 4:
Chibi no1- Front View- Head
Part 1: Drawing Head

Supply List
Papers; Pencils; Eraser; Pencil Sharpener; Ruler; Q-tips or Blending Stumps or just a Regular Tissue; Optional: Any art medium for coloring- Colored Pencils, markers, watercolors.

I am a character and costume designer with the MFA from Northwestern University, I've taught various art and design related classes for 7 years and I have worked with all different age learners.
I have been creating and drawing unique characters for many stories for the last 15 years. Besides my professional expertise my inspiration for creating this class is coming also from my love of storytelling, character creation and anime films.
Also one of the most important things is that Chibis and Gachas are so adorable and cute! :D with their cuteness and simplicity they just make students and me happy drawing them!
