Class Experience
Do you ever wonder where Pokémon regions got their influence? In this class, we will explore four different real-life places and their culture. By learning about their current culture we can then see the influence of them in different forms of Pokémon, whether that be in a video game, TV show, or a Pokémon itself! These places will include: Johto Region (Real Life Inspiration: Japan’s Kansai Region) Galar Region (Real Life Inspiration: UK) Alola Region (Real Life Inspiration: Hawaii) Unova Region (Real Life Inspiration: New York City First Week: Johto Region. Second Week: Galar Region Third Week: Alola Region Fourth Week: Unova Region Each week I will post a recording (40-50 minutes) before 10am EST and then will have questions and various prompts for students to answer for that week. Prompts will be based on that week's topic. I will also have worksheets for the students to follow along with the lecture. Also, I might throw in a fun Kahoot or Blooket at the end of our 4 week class period so each learner can “virtually” take their information with them! I will also send Youtube Links to fun Pomekon Activities! Examples include: Guess the Pokemon, Pokemon Brain Breaks, Pokemon Quizzes, etc. For more student interaction, not only will I include a prompt every week, but a Pokemon of the Week. Students are encouraged to respond to at least one other learner's comment either on the Weekly Prompt or Pokemon of the Week No required knowledge, but always welcome! Each Flex Class runs in 4 week intervals, and will repeat the same material.

Teacher expertise and credentials
South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Social Studies/History
Hi everyone! I’m Mrs. B! I have an BA in Public History, I currently work at a high school teaching AP US History! I have worked with kids of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities!
I offer a variety of different classes, and if you have a special class request in mind, please message me! My philosophy is that learning should be fun, engaging, and interactive! I am always looking into new ways to make an otherwise "boring" subject, fun!
When I am not teaching, you will find me either watching a Hallmark movie, exercising, reading a good book, or brain storming new class topics!
