What's included

Class Experience

Rock music is typically hard-driving, intense music fueled by electric guitars, drums, bass, and singers. Rock music has origins dating back to the 1940s, when country and jazz music became infused with the electric guitar. 

This course will cover the History of Rock, covering notable artists, defining songs, and movements from the 1940s all the way to today! 

Week 1 - 
The Origins of Rock - 1940s to 1960s
Instruments of Rock Music

Week 2 - 
The Evolution - 1970s
Women in Rock Music

Week 3 - 
Rock's Splintering - 1980s
Fashion and Rock Music

Week 4 - 
Re-Emergence - 1990s-today
Technology in Rock Music

Each week, students will watch a video lesson on the history of rock music. They will then be asked to complete listening exercises and answer focus questions. 

Students will interact with the teacher and other students through weekly focus questions and Kahoot! quizzes.
