In this class students will learn basic and a few intermediate functions of Microsoft Word. Students should complete this course and feel comfortable creating a document, as well as making a couple of creative pieces, such as flyers and business advertisements. Students will receive instruction via pre-recorded videos. They will be expected to view videos each week and complete the accompanying assignment. This class is taught in English.
Students will be expected to complete weekly homework assignments which are due each Saturday. Homework will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the student and the level of creativity. Their ending class project may take a little more time as they revisit it off and on to see what other classmates have contributed.
Microsoft Word online and/or desktop
Students who turn in assignments by the deadline will receive teacher feedback. Please note, late assignments will not receive teacher feedback.

Students will need access to Microsoft Word online and/or desktop version. Please note some functions may be available in one version and not the other. Students will also need to access Kahoot, a learning game app. They will not need to have an account for Kahoot or create a profile. They will simply use the link and/or game code I provide to engage on the platform.
