Class Experience
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Because this class is not live, learning will be asynchronous. All drawings will be due one week after the video lesson is posted. Students will upload their own art and provide positive feedback on classmates' drawings. Additional artwork done during the course of the class is encouraged and allowed to be uploaded for discussion!
Paper (drawing paper, sketchbook, notebook paper, printer paper--even index cards or post-it notes will work! Pencils, eraser, sharpener Sharpie (fine or ultra-fine point) for outlining colored pencils, crayons or markers to color animals
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
