Description
Class Experience
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level. In this particular class, I draw on my experience teaching kids and adults at the Butterfly Pavilion, the first ADA-accredited stand-alone insect zoo in the US!
Students will need: Paper (any kind will work, though good quality paper is best pencils, sharpener, eraser black Sharpie tools for coloring: colored pencils, crayons, markers, watercolor paint; watercolor pencils...whatever you have to work with--we will use different coloring tools throughout the five classes. OPTIONAL: Metallic colored pencils or markers can be REALLY fun in this class! Images of the above insects are helpful!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
