I will give letter grades at the request of the parent, otherwise, I will just provide assessments and feedback. Naturally, the assessments will have a number grade attached.Grading

What will be taught/What topics will you cover? Week 1 Macromolecules Week 2 Cells and Cell Transport Week 3 Energetics Week 4 Cell Division Week 5 DNA, RNA, and Proteins Week 6 Biotechnology and Genetics I Week 7 Genetics II Week 8 Evolution and Classification Week 9 Ecological Relationships Week 10 Review and Practice Final Exam How is your class structured? Students will receive one digital notebook for each topic per week. Within this notebook, students will have access to lecture videos, edpuzzles, games, and loads of printable/digital manipulatives to help them learn the concept. These notebooks are challenging and lengthy. Students that put in the most effort, ask questions, and listen to feedback will get the most out of this course. Remember, it covers the entire biology curriculum in just 10 weeks. This means that this course will require a lot of effort from your learner. All resources will be shared Sundays by 10pm EST. Any required experience or knowledge learners need? Students should have a science background. It is preferred that your learner is working at a ninth grade level.

Students will need access to gmail in order to use the digital notebooks. We will also use Edpuzzle for some of the videos, play blooket, and complete some quizzes on quiz.izz.
