In this 6 week's class, we'll be covering the ins and outs of creating a successful Youtube channel as a gaming influencer. We'll start by discussing the basics of video and photo editing, including tools and techniques you can use to make your content stand out.

Next, we'll dive into specific strategies for gaming content creation, including tips and tricks for playing popular games like Minecraft, Fortnite, Roblox, Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Apex, League of Legends, Among Us, and others on various gaming platforms such as Nintendo, Xbox, Switch, and Playstation.

The course will cover a variety of topics, including how to open your channel, planning and creating catchy videos, building a subscriber base, making money and financial stability, video editing, and internet safety. The class is a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practices to help students to create their own youtube channel and make it successful.

GOALS:
-Teach students how to open and set up their YouTube channel
-Provide students with an understanding of the equipment needed to make good videos
-Teach students how to plan and create catchy videos
-Provide students with tips and tricks for building a subscriber base
-Help students develop their personal brand and monetize their channel
-Teach students about video editing and its importance
-Provide students with guidelines for internet safety and how to make money from Youtube

CLASS TOPICS:
Week 1: Introduction to creating a YouTube channel and understanding the equipment needed
Week 2: Planning and creating catchy videos
Week 3: Building a subscriber base and understanding how current stars became successful
Week 4: Networking with like-minded creators and financial stability
Week 5: Video editing and its importance
Week 6: Final project, portfolio review, practicing internet safety and how to make money from YouTube

Learners will learn skills that last a lifetime!

The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week. Homework assignments will include writing a list of topics, interests and areas of expertise in which the students might be interested in developing a Youtube channel. There will also be research assignments into how to choose a channel name, the importance of images  and videos, and all the details needed to make a great channel. 

After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps to make their channel vision a reality including how to make and edit the videos. They will then review each others videos and make suggestions for each other. They will asked to play a video creation game to see who can make the funniest video and score each other to see who's was most funny. That means lots of interaction between me the teacher and learners between themselves after each class to get the homework assignments completed correctly.

Timeframe for the Week:
Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week.
Tuesdays-Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week.  The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the class.
Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom.  
Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students, students will also be able to engage in peer-to-peer review and be able to discuss how they went about completing the tasks.
Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week.

No required experience or knowledge is needed by the learners.
