Want to know how to create fairly simple desserts that are delicious and impressive? YOU GOT THIS! Try a one time Flex class and create a yummy dessert when you have time during your busy week. The recipes I record for dessert Flex classes are easy enough for the newest baker to a seasoned baker and will impress your tasters! To teach the class I use videos that walk students through each recipe step-by-step. They can watch the video pausing to work at their own pace and complete the recipe along with me. Whatever works for them. Students can interact with one another after class through comments and posting pictures and videos of their creations if that's something they enjoy, or they can do their own thing interacting as little as possible. I will answer all questions posted in the classroom or to me personally and I leave feedback on all student's shared work! I will run the class in this manner: *A week before, the recipe will be posted so you have time to shop for ingredients you do not have. Create a list of all ingredients needed and decide what you already have and what needs to be purchased for the recipe. *The day of class you will receive the recipe to follow along during the class, and the video to create your dessert. I invite you to share photos of your finished dessert if it's convenient. I love to see what you do. *I do my best to respond to each students post within 24 hours, so if you have questions please ask! Here are recipes I've recorded. I'm working on putting these up as one time flex classes. If you're wanting to make something and don't see the flex class listed, let me know and I'll work on getting it posted! Vanilla Cupcakes and milk chocolate buttercream frosting Homemade chocolate cake with fudge frosting (I'm not a chocolate fan but I do love this cake and the Rustic apple/pear pie (no need for a pie pan-a large cookie sheet and some foil will do) Toffee Squares-a bar cookie Fresh fruit tart (a pretty fancy looking dessert) Uses a breakaway pan Soft chocolate chip cookies Fruit crisp (apple, peach, plum. etc. it's your choice) Peanut butter cups- made in a casserole dish and cut in squares Caramel Apple Cupcakes so fun for fall! Oreo Cookies-a cake mix cookie with a vanilla cream filling Lemon sunshine cookies-a very lemony cream filled cookie Butterscotch Blondies Pumpkin bars Triple chocolate Bundt cake with Raspberry sauce. (Recipe uses a Bundt pan though you can make it in a 9x13 cake pan) Maple Meringue cookies Pumpkin bundt cake with butterscotch glaze Peanut butter with peanut butter M&M cookies Pound cake with fresh strawberry icing *Why can a flex class be a good choice? -Students work at different paces or may not be comfortable in a regular class setting. Flex can be a good fit. -Students may not have set schedules that allow them to take a class the same time each week. Flex allows that "flex"ability to do the class when it fits in their week and your families schedule.
Learning Goals
I want my students to enjoy baking simple but yummy desserts from a young age taking pride in the presentation as well as the taste. we will also learn to recognize ingredients that compliment each other. Flavors that blend together to create a new recipe a little different than the one we make in class.

Parental Guidance
Please be advised, we may use sharp knives, a hand or stand mixer, the stove top and/or oven, and other kitchen tools that can potentially create a risk for injury. You know your child best. If they need help occasionally, please be near so they are able to ask for help.
Recipes may also include a variety of ingredients that your child might be sensitive or allergic to including: nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or others particular to you child. Please ask if in doubt and I’d be happy to provide a list of ingredients to inform you before you enroll your student.
Supply List
I will send you the recipe we will be creating a week early so you can decide to collect ingredients and cook with me or watch and create them later. Whatever style of learning works best for you is fine with me. I will enjoy you in class, either way you choose to do class.
