Class Experience
We will learn the basics of American Sign Language in this 4 week course. Each week, we will learn a different set of signs and master them. On Mondays, an instructional video will be posted. I will demonstrate the new signs we will learn that week. I will go over them slowly and explain how to them, as I am doing them. Students will need to watch the video and practice the signs at home. Students will need to record a video of themselves doing the signs and either post it under the instruction video OR send the video to me privately. On Wednesdays, a game video will be posted. I will do a video signing the signs we learned that week, without saying what I am signing. Each learner will need to write down their answers and either post them to the thread OR send their answers privately to me. All work should be submitted by Fridays. Our schedule will be: Week 1: Animals part 2 Week 2: Common Words part 2 Week 3: Food part 2 Week 4: Common words part 3 Each week we will learn new signs and review previously learned material. By the end of this course, each student will be able to sign foods, animals, common words. We have 31 common words and phrases to learn in this course. I have split them into two separate weeks to make it easier. These are all important words that we have to know in order to continue our learning. We will do 16 in week 2 and 15 in week 4.
