Class Experience
In this online 4-week flex course we will be drawing variety of gnomes: some with Spring seasonal attribute and some Holiday-themed (Valentine's Day, St. Patrick, Easter). Students can choose any medium to use: watercolors, acrylic, gouache or tempera paint, watercolor or colored pencils, crayons, pastels, paintbrush, and so on. They are also free to create art in any format, for example, a large paintings on canvas, a small drawing, seasonal cards for friends and family, and so on. I will be posting a couple of short videos (each about 8-10 minutes long) every Monday before 12pm EST. Students can post pictures of their work in progress and/or final artworks on the classroom page or send them directly to me during the week. I will be happy to provide any feedback if you would like; and answer questions. Week 1 - St.Patrick's Day Week 2 - Spring gnomes Week 3 - Easter gnomes Week 4 - Earth Day

Hello and welcome! My name is Anna Starkova, I'm an artist, a mother of two (9 and 5 years old) and a wife.
Art has always been my biggest passion since childhood. I love working in various techniques like oil and acrylic painting, watercolors, and graphite drawing. Recently, I have started exploring the full potential watercolor pencils as well. Here at Outschool, I'm offering various one-time classes and 4-week courses (several one-time classes grouped together) in watercolor pencil art technique, graphite drawing and acrylic painting.
I have my own art studio in Needham, MA (Greater Boston Area) where I offer group and individual art lessons for children (age 4+) and adults. I enjoy working with my students and creating new artworks, exploring new themes with them and mastering different techniques. I show and teach all that I have learned during my own art process.
I feel honored to receive several awards and to be selected to participate in many juried art exhibitions throughout New England as well as in New York City. I am also honored to have my paintings in private collections all around the world: USA, Russia, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Australia, UAE, India, and Japan.
