US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
This new class is designed to teach a specific skill in a week in a fun and interactive way. Each day students will watch one interactive lesson and do the activities provided after class. Students will learn number recognition, number patterns, counting, number relationships and adding and subtraction by 1's and tens. Since this is a self paced class, students can go through the course at their own pace to suit their personal learning style and schedule however, for maximum retention and practice a week is recommended with one lesson a day. LESSON 1 Introduction to the Hundreds Chart For lesson 1 we will look at the 100's chart and learn the difference between rows and columns as well as talk about any patterns we see in the 100's Chart. Students will then have the opportunity to try several 100's chart puzzles to do on their own. LESSON 2 Counting Forward and Backwards Lesson 2 will consists of filling in missing numbers on a number chart as well as picking a number and figuring out what comes before an what comes after. LESSON 3 Ordering Numbers Lesson 3 consists of learning how to put numbers in order . The after class activity involves picking 3 numbers from the hundreds chart and putting them in order from least to greatest and greatest to least. LESSON 4 Addition and Subtraction Lesson 4 will show how the number chart can help us in adding and subtracting. LESSON 5 Review The final lesson will consists of extra worksheets and activities to extend learning beyond a week of learning. Materials needed for this class are a small whiteboard, pencils, printed material, crayons and scissors. I also recommend having either page protectors and/or Ziplock bags to put activities in that you can use again later and they can also be used to write on for a reusable worksheet if desired. Optional videos are also included so students can check their work and learn from their success' and mistakes. 24 HOUR CLASS PREVIEW DETAILS Not sure if this class is the right fit?
