Welcome to an inclusive, loving, and FUN full curriculum class! This class is perfect for any learner who is ready to build foundational skills, or those who may benefit from a fun way to review and solidify skills they have already gained; great as a supplement or curriculum for homeschool families. Many different learning styles and modes will be incorporated in every class meeting. Themes will be utilized to incorporate high-interest learning and keep learners excited for each and every week! Lessons will include music, movement, fingerplays, chants, rhymes, crafts, sharing, and more! Lessons will be taught using props, posters, visuals, and some (limited) slides so that students will get the most interaction with real-world people and learning possible. This is a full curriculum class, so a wide variety of subjects and skills will be covered. Learners are welcome to join at any time, and do not have to be enrolled from the beginning of the course to join. We will begin each class with a greeting, then dive into our learning activities. Each child will be welcomed to participate in many ways throughout the meeting. While there is a set schedule/sequence for the class, I will be responsive to each learner and class's needs, and make adjustments as needed - whether that may mean providing some extra challenges or providing more remediation of skills and concepts. Some of the skills we will target include: -Phonics skills: blending, rhyming, word families, etc. -Foundational reading skills -Sight words -Comprehension -Grammar -Sequencing -Early writing skills -Addition -Subtraction -Geometry -Simple fractions -Skip counting -Place value -American currency -Science topics (weather, seasons, solar system, animals) -Civics -Social Studies -Geography -Fine motor -Gross Motor -Following directions -Social skills -Oral communication **Weekly Schedule is as follows:** Monday: Reading / Phonics Tuesday: Math and Show and Tell Wednesday: Writing (including drawing and writingskills) / Phonics Thursday: Science / Social-Emotional / Crafts / Math as needed *SS will be integrated throughout each weeks' lessons Optional additional practice and activity ideas will be offered each week, for those parents and guardians wishing to extend learning outside of class time. Skills addressed subject to change slightly as the learners progress. We will move at the speed of the class, as assessed each week during live meetings. You will not be charged. Week of December 2: Common & Proper nouns review AU & AW homophones Narrative writing 3 addends Mammals Week of December 9: Narrative writing Homophones review Compound words ER & EST Double digit addition Mammals Week of December 16: Compound words review Narrative writing WH US coins Winter holidays around the world Week of December 23: No class. You will not be charged. Week of December 30: No class. You will not be charged.

Supply List
A detailed (but not extensive) materials listwill be sent each week. Overall suggested materials for each week are: -Dry erase board OR paper for practicing letters/writing/numbers (optional but very helpful for real-time practice) -Show and tell item (Tuesday’s classes) Optional extension activities provided each week may require additional supplies, which will be listed in the classroom.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am a certified teacher who has been teaching PreK-3rd grade for the last 12 years. I have experience in designing curricula for this age range and in these subjects over my years of teaching. I have also homeschooled 2 of my own first grade aged children.
