Class experience
As previously discussed, I will be teaching students how to create a film from concept to completion. They will come up with an idea, write a script, shoot the film, edit the film, and upload the film to Youtube. I teach at the college level. I structure my class exactly how I structure my college class. We start with me showing and providing information...then I give "assignments." So, they will write a script. They will shoot their film. Then, they will edit their film. Class 1 -...
Students will learn the basics of creating their own film from concept to completion.
I have been making independent films for over 15 years, and I have been teaching filmmaking at the college level since 2014.
Homework Offered
Homework is described in the class description. They are making a film. That entails working on things outside of class. For example. I will show them how to write a script. On their own time, they will write the script for their film.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

If they get into it, or you already have editing software, that's fine. BUT...you will probably need storage. You can get Cloud storage, or I think an external hard drive to store project files is better.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:

We try to keep our films clean, but just know that there might be some occasional bad language and violent acts (fight scenes). I assure you, nothing I wouldn't allow my own 12 year old to see.
My background includes a plethora of experiences, including customer service, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, project management, marketing and communication, and teaching. I have owned my own video production business since 2007, where...
